About 11908 Elfcroft Dr

Inside the residence, you’ll find an inviting living room with high ceilings, laminate wood floors and a fireplace. You have lots of room for your furniture needs – so no awkward layouts here!

The kitchen has its own eat-in space and a large pantry – but what I Iike most about this kitchen is the counter space and that it doesn’t make you feel cramped.

The modern dining room looks out into one of my favorite features of the home – the backyard retreat! The yard is actually a Certified Wildlife Habitat – which the seller has already done all the legwork to obtain. You can choose to keep the status by keeping the native landscaping and bird feeders and by not using pesticides, or simply let it go. An automatic sprinkler system has also recently been installed and two rain barrels will convey with the home!

There are three bedrooms upstairs in this home as well as two and a half baths. All of the baths have recently been remodeled and you’ll be blown away by the master bath that has an oversized garden tub, granite and double sinks! The master bedroom is huge, and has a walk-in closet of course. A clever built- in office nook has been added to the third bedroom closet, though it can be easily removed.

Another hidden gem in this home is the air-conditioned art studio found off the two-car garage! You could also use this room for a workshop or for storage – the possibilities are endless!

This wonderful home is found in the park-like setting of the Park at Walnut Creek community. The HOA fees include a community pool, hot tub, playground and parks. One block away is the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park, and of course you have the Domain, Arboretum, St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, IBM and Dell are all close by.

As I mentioned before, remodeled homes in this sought-after area don’t last long on the market, so contact us today to schedule your private appointment!

The Park at Walnut Creek: a Smart Place to Buy a Home?

North Austin is experiencing a low inventory of homes, and it is no doubt why so many people want to live in this area: you can be not too far from downtown Austin and close to all the great shopping, dining and entertainment found at the Domain and Arboretum!  There are many communities and neighborhoods in North Austin, but only a select few have extremely low inventory coupled with heightened buyer demand.

One neighborhood in particular that I’d like to highlight is tucked away near the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park, appropriately named The Park at Walnut Creek.  (The Park at Walnut Creek is a semi-private enclave of homes listed in the north Austin subdivision of Village at Walnut Creek).

I bring up that it is a small neighborhood because that is one of the reasons why residents love to live there – they like its park-like setting and that no through streets run through the neighborhood, truly giving it a small feel right in the middle of North Austin!

The homes were built in the mid-1980’s and this is an HOA community. It is a great community for either finding a home to remodel or, if you prefer, a home that has already been beautifully remodeled!

What do you get for your HOA payment? Well, other than the benefit of having the HOA guidelines to help keep the integrity of the neighborhood, there is a community pool with volleyball net, BBQ pits an a pergola, playground and parks. Driving around the community I saw many people out walking with their families or with their dogs and I could definitely see how outdoor-lovers would love this place!

Another thing I love about this neighborhood is that it borders the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park – nearly 300 acres of picnic areas, playgrounds, places for your dogs to run free, trails, a swimming pool, sports courts and softball fields!

For these reasons, we feel that The Park at Walnut Creek is indeed a smart place to buy a home.  If you would like to learn more about this wonderful community and how you can call it home, contact me today!
